Use the programming procedure below if OTASP (*22803) fails or is unavailable.
- Turn on the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530 by pressing the Power button (red end key.)
- Unlock the phone by completing the following steps:
- Select the Send key.
- Enter ## and the Subsidy Lock Code.
- Press the Send key.
- Program the phone number by completing the following steps:
- Enter the 10-digit PCS phone number (MDN) on the line beside Mobile Directory Number.
Note: Mobile Directory Number is the first line item in the CDMA Service Edit Screen.
- Enter the 10-digit MIN (which can be found in Smart Desktop) on the line beside IMSI_S.
Note: IMSI_S (International Mobile Subscriber Identifier Short) is found on the second line in the CDMA Service Edit Screen. For more information on MDN, MIN and wireless number portability see Wireless Number Portability.
- Confirm the Home SID is 16422.
- Confirm the Home NID is 65535.
- Press the menu key and select Save. The message "Write successful. Resetting device" appears and the phone power cycles (i.e. turns off and then on).
- Dial *8378 (*TEST). If the phone is programmed correctly, you should hear the recording: "Thank you for calling our toll-free test line. Your phone is activated and working correctly."
