Self Serve FAQs

Self Serve is available 24/7, and lets you manage your account on your time. Plus, unlike calling a Rep, all the services availble online are free. If you're having trouble logging in or using Self Serve, these FAQs should help you out.

If you pay the bill for your phone, you'll want to register as the Account Owner. You'll need a few pieces of information to do this:

  1. Your Account # (can be found on your bill or service agreement).
  2. Your PIN (this is the 4 - 6 digit password you created when you activated your phone).
  3. The postal code registered with your account or the amount of your last invoice.

If someone else pays the bill for your phone, you'll want to register as a Subscriber. For this, you'll need the phone number of your Koodo phone, as well as a Permission Code for the account. Ask your Account Owner to create this code for you.

When you're ready to register, simply hit the "Self Serve" link at the top of any page on this site, and click 'Register Now'.

Just about anything you will ever need to change or view on your account is available on our Online Self Serve system. Best of all, there is never any cost to you for using our system online. Here is a guide of everything you can use:

If you registered your Self Serve account as a Subscriber: (someone else pays your bill)

You will need your Account Owner to make certain Self Serve changes on your behalf, such as adding or removing a feature, or making a credit card payment.

Even as a Subscriber there is a lot you can do in Self Serve, such as finding out how much airtime you've used and a history of what features have been added or removed.

If you're registered as a Subscriber, but you are actually the Account Owner, then you need to re-register for Self Serve as the Account Owner.

Follow the steps that apply to you:

I can't remember my password.

I can't remember my username.

  • Re-register a new Self Serve account. Make sure to choose a different username from what you had before.

A permission code is a code that is given to the Account Owner which allows a Subscriber to register for Self Serve.

If you are a Subscriber on an account (you have a mobile phone, but are not responsible for bill payment) and want register for Self Serve, you will need to have the Account Owner create a permission code for you, first.

If you are an Account Owner, here’s how to create a permission code:

  1. Log into Self Serve with your Account Owner account.
  2. Look for the 'Permission Code' link under the 'My Profile' heading (it's at the bottom right of your screen).
  3. Find the phone number of the Subscriber you want to grant a permission code for, check the 'Grant' box next to that number, and press 'Submit'.
  4. A Permission Code should now appear next to that Subscriber's name. Share this code with the Subscriber as they will need it to register for Self Serve.

Note: You'll want to repeat this process for each Subscriber in your account. A given Permission Code will only work for the Subscriber it was granted to. Also, a Permission Code will expire if not used after 30 days, but a new one can be created at any time.
