Koodo Stream+ Basic Terms and Conditions

Stream+ Basic These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Stream+ Basic subscription, Stream+ Basic is a bundle of video streaming services which gives you access to three subscription services (the “Streaming Services”)
Disney+ Standard with Ads (“Disney+”), which is a video subscription service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Disney+ app or the disneyplus.com website. The Disney+ service, including all content, is provided by Buena Vista International, Inc. (“Disney”). Your use of Disney+ is subject to the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, available at disneyplus.com/legal/subscriber-agreement, which is an agreement between you and Disney. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Disney+ through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Disney+ service is subject to The Walt Disney Company Privacy Policy and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Canada, available at disneyplus.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Netflix Standard with Ads (“Netflix”), which is a subscription-based streaming service that allows subscribers to watch TV shows and movies on any internet-connected device that offers the Netflix app or on your computer using an internet browser. Your use of Netflix is subject to the Netflix Terms of use, available at https://help.netflix.com/en/legal/termsofuse, which is an agreement between you and Netflix. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Netflix through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Netflix service is subject to Netflix Privacy Statement, available at https://help.netflix.com/en/legal/privacy.
Amazon Prime (“Amazon”), which is a subscription-based streaming service that allows subscribers to watch movies, TV episodes and music and to receive benefits, which include free fast shipping for eligible purchases, exclusive shopping deals and selection, and more. You can learn more about these and other benefits by visiting the Prime home page. Your Amazon account and subscription are governed by agreements with Amazon, including Amazon’s Conditions of Use, Amazon Video Terms of Use, Amazon Music Terms of Use, Amazon Photos Terms of Use, Kindle Store Terms of Use and others (“Amazon Terms”). These are agreements between you and Amazon. Please ensure you read and understand these agreements before subscribing to Amazon through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Amazon service is subject to Amazon Privacy Notice.
TELUS Films & Series is available via the TELUS TV+ mobile app (“TELUS TV+”) .You can learn more about the content available on TELUS TV+ and other benefits by visiting the Stream+ homepage. Koodo will provide you with the ability to receive video and audio programming channels at your premises, only as delivered by Koodo in accordance with the distribution licenses held by TELUS.
Minimum Requirements To purchase Stream+ Basic or Premium, you must have at least one Koodo, Altima, Start or Mascon product in order to be eligible. To activate, manage or cancel your subscription you must register for a Koodo Self Serve account, if you don’t already have one set up. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe. If you cancel your Koodo, Altima, Start or Mascon service, you can continue your Stream+ Basic or Premium subscription.
You cannot access TELUS TV+ mobile app while on a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Activation Once you sign up for a Stream+ Basic through Koodo self-serve and authenticate your account you will receive three activation emails prompting you to activate your subscriptions with Disney+, Netflix and Amazon. The steps to activate your subscriptions to each of these Streaming Services are outlined below:
  1. A link in the email will take you to Koodo self-serve, where you must create a Koodo self-serve account or log-in using your existing Koodo credentials.
  2. You must navigate to the “Subscriptions" page where you will see your Stream+ Basic subscription listed. You will need to click “activate subscriptions" under the Stream+ Basic product and then click “activate" for each of the Streaming Services. Upon clicking on each activate button, you will be taken to the partner site to complete activation by either linking to an existing account or creating a new account. A. If you DO NOT have existing accounts with Disney+, Netflix or Amazon, you must create an account with each of the Streaming Services. B. If you DO have an existing Disney+, Netflix or Amazon account, once you have activated your subscriptions (as detailed above) you must login to the partner site using your existing account information, which will link your existing account to your Stream+ Basic subscription. If you do not wish to link your existing Disney+, Netflix or Amazon account to your Stream+ Basic subscription, then you will have to create a new Disney+, Netflix or Amazon account for your Stream+ Basic subscription (as detailed above), both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.
  3. You can access TELUS Films & Series through TELUS TV+ mobile app with your existing My TELUS username and password are required to log in to this service, which you used to purchase Stream+ with.
Billing Once you complete your order to Stream+ Basic, your subscription will begin and a fee of $20.00 CAD plus tax per month and will be charged to the credit card (that you added on your Koodo self-serve account) every succeeding month until you cancel your Stream+ Subscription through your Koodo self-serve account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you, monthly charges can be viewed from your Koodo self-serve account.
Any additional purchase you may make through the Disney+ service will be made directly through Disney+ and will not be chargeable through your Koodo self-serve account.

Pre existing Subscription If you have a direct-billed pre-existing subscription to Disney+, Netflix or Amazon (i.e., a subscription billed directly by Disney, Netflix or Amazon and not through a third party using the same email address) prior to signing up with Koodo, you may be able to link your existing account via the activation email sent by Koodo. Subject to the following paragraph regarding Disney+, activation through Koodo will automatically pause your direct billing (applies to any subscription tier) with the relevant Streaming Service and will resume when the relationship with Koodo ends.
Disney+ only: If you already have a Disney+ direct-billed subscription for the same or a lower subscription tier, it will be automatically paused until your subscription via Koodoo ends or changes to a lower subscription tier. If your Disney+ direct-billed subscription is for a higher Disney+ subscription tier (for example, you have Disney+ Standard or Disney+ Basic direct with Disney) than the Disney+ plan tier that is included in Stream+ Basic, you will not be able to link your pre-existing subscription. You will be required to manage your subscription with Disney+ before activating with Koodo to avoid being double-billed.
If you have an existing subscription to a Streaming Service from a third party (e.g., app store purchases, other billing partners such as Rogers and Shaw), you will need to manage your subscription with that third party to avoid duplicate subscriptions. If you wish to keep your existing Disney+ subscription through a third party, then your Stream+ subscription and that third party subscription will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription. Netflix will allow you to link your subscription from a third party. If you have Amazon Prime, this scenario isn’t applicable.
Cancellation You are able to cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with Koodo at any time through your Koodo self-serve account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. If you are a Quebec subscriber, you’re able to cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit. Koodo may also cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation. The provider of a Streaming Service may cancel your subscription to this Streaming Service at any time in accordance with this provider’s applicable terms of use.
Once your Stream+ Basic subscription is canceled, if you had a pre-existing Streaming Service subscription that was paused when you activated your Stream+ Basic subscription, your previous Streaming Service subscription(s) and billing directly with the related provider will then resume. After you cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with Koodo, it is your responsibility to manage any subscription to any Streaming Service that is billed directly or via a third party, if you would no longer like to maintain a subscription to any of those services or wish to make any change to your related subscription.
If you are a Quebec subscriber, you’re able to cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit.
